Welcome to Vancouver Mensa! We are a local chapter of Mensa Canada. This is our place to share info on Vancouver happenings. If you have news you’d like to share or any questions, please contact us at email@example.com.
Mensa, the high IQ society, welcomes people from every walk of life with IQs in the top 2 percent of the population. The organization’s stated purposes are to identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity, to encourage research in the nature, characteristics and uses of intelligence, and to promote stimulating intellectual and social opportunities for its members. Mensa provides a forum for intellectual exchange through a wide range of social and cultural activities, and offers opportunities to develop your mind, your social network and yourself. We are volunteer run, so if you don’t see what you’re looking for reach out and help make it happen!
Today, Mensa has approximately 120,000 members in 100 countries and recognized national groups in over 40 countries, with a vibrant online community.
We have a lot of great ones coming up. Check out the events page for more information. Hope to see you there!
Y.A.M. is an acronym that stands for Young Adult Mensans. It is loosely defined as persons aged 19 to 45-ish. There are events for this age range, organized by persons in that age range. See the YAM page for more information.
Applications are processed through Mensa Canada. Mensa accepts prior evidence with qualifying IQ test scores. Supervised testing sessions are also held regularly in Vancouver and across Canada. Please see Mensa Canada’s site to learn more about taking the test.
We have regular events throughout the Lower Mainland. Check out our Events page for more information or find us on www.meetup.com.
